EASY ACCESS TO THE HIGHEST POINT OF THE WHOLE RESORT
If the Aiguille Rouge, the highest point in the resort, is well-known in winter for its legendary ski slope which descends 2000m, in summer it provides an exceptional view of the Alpine summits that awaits at the top of the unforgettable cable car trip to get there.
It takes just a few minutes to get to the glacier perched at 3226m in the emblematic Aiguille Rouge cable car. Spend a day breathing in some refreshing alpine air with friends, family or solo up amongst some alpine peaks.
SO NEAR YET SO FAR, BUT DO YOU DO YOU WHAT THEY ARE?
As the crow flies, the giants which surround the area of les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry seem almost within reach. It’s possible to get even closer by taking the Aiguille Rouge panoramic walkway and from there to enjoy the 360° view over the peaks of the French, Italian and Swiss Alps.
Among the most prestigious : Mont Blanc (4809m), le Grand Paradis (4061m), Mont Turia (3650m).
A highlight for anyone looking to feel the majestic beauty of nature.
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE BIODIVERSITY OF THE MOUNTAINS
At the top of the cable car, the Vanoise National Park and the Hauts de Villaroger National Nature Reserve extend as far as the eye can see from the Aiguille Rouge panoramic walkway. That’s more than 4000 hectares of exceptional natural beauty to take in.
The Hauts de Villaroger National Nature Reserve, on the edge of the resort serves to protect wooded areas which are a natural winter habitat for many Alpine fauna such as the tétras-lyre (black grouse). When the walkway was created in 2018, the resort of les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry and theHauts de Villaroger National Nature Reserve collaborated to put in place an educational trail which presents the role of the nature reserve and the species who live in this protected zone.
